Ocotillo Wells SVRA is looking for a few good volunteers!Okay, okay, we’re looking for a lot of great volunteers!Do you enjoy riding at Ocotillo Wells SVRA? Would you like to be a part of keeping it a jewel of the off-road community?Would you like to help save the Freeman Property for future generations of off-road enthusiasts?
Volunteers at Ocotillo Wells SVRA play a vital part in keeping the Park connected with the community.As a volunteer you can patrol the Park in your own vehicle and are a visible presence for the public to see.You can assist with Interpretive Programs and help educate the public about sound off-road philosophies, such as Tread Lightly.You can also help protect the Park’s resources by participating in Stewardship programs.
Qualifications
As a volunteer, you must be willing and able to carry out your assigned duties and responsibilities. You must also be reliable and committed. Job duties are matched to the interests and abilities of the volunteer. A medical examination or criminal background check may be required. Persons under 18 years of age may volunteer with written permission from a parent or guardian.

After contacting one of the above coordinators, you will receive a packet that contains application forms and information. You may volunteer as an individual or as part of a group, on short-term projects of 1 to 3 days, or on long-term projects in specialized programs. Please describe on the application any relevant experience, education, talents, skills and interests you possess.
Training and Working Conditions
If selected, you will receive training to acquaint you with the park and your specific duties. Hours for most volunteer positions are flexible and varied depending upon Park needs and your availability. The amount of time volunteered is mutually agreed upon by you and your supervisor before you start and may be changed as circumstances dictate.
